Stop by to learn how you can enroll in quality health coverage and save on costs
SPRINGFIELD — Visit the Get Covered Illinois table located in the Lieutenant Governor's tent at this year's Illinois State Fair in Springfield. Get Covered Illinois staff will be there to answer questions about enrolling in health and dental insurance and applying for financial help to reduce coverage costs.
Open enrollment begins November 1, 2026, but residents who’ve recently experienced a life change like loss of employer insurance, the birth of a child, or marriage may be eligible to enroll in health coverage now through a special enrollment period.
“The state fair is a great opportunity for attendees to drop by the Get Covered Illinois table and meet our fantastic team of health insurance experts working to keep Illinoisans covered,” said Get Covered Illinois Director Morgan Winters. “I’d encourage attendees with questions or those who are currently uninsured to stop by to learn how Get Covered Illinois can help.”
Most residents who enroll through Get Covered Illinois qualify for financial assistance that reduces their premium by more than $700 a month. All Get Covered Illinois plans cover preventative care, prescription drugs, hospital stays, emergency services, mental health, and more.
