All brokers who want to sell Get Covered Illinois marketplace plans must complete an annual certification process. Plan year 2027 certification is valid through December 31, 2027. 

Get Covered Illinois-certified brokers must maintain a license with the Illinois Department of Insurance with a health line of authority Check your licensure status.

The Get Covered Illinois Broker Portal is tailored for brokers to provide support to their customers. It is designed to support both a single broker with a few customers, as well as an agency with multiple brokers and thousands of customers.

IMPORTANT: Do not create a customer account by going to Enroll and Create Account.

All Get Covered Illinois-certified brokers must complete the plan year 2027 certification training, pass the final exam with a score of 80% or higher and complete the required certification activities by attesting to the Illinois Non-Exchange Entity Agreement.

Plan year 2027 Get Covered Illinois broker certification training is now available! 
The plan year 2027 training provides brokers with the knowledge and tools needed to confidently help consumers understand their health coverage options, complete the application process, and navigate important Marketplace policies and requirements.

Five CE Credits are available for Illinois Resident Broker

Returning brokers have been pre-registered and will recieve an email from Get Covered Illinois with next steps.

New brokers can email GCI.Outreach@Illinois.gov to request to be pre-registered. Please provide each broker’s full name, phone number, NPN (not license number) and the email address they used to create their Get Covered Illinois portal account.
